i am water (2024)

i am water explores women’s strength and resilience, drawing parallels between the erosive power of rivers and the transformative influence of women. Built around visits to Broadmead Brook, the art project showcases the slow power of rivers in shaping landscapes. The two mosaics and the ceramic sculpture convey a sense of confidence, mystery, and underlying strength.

Inspired by Rupi Kaur’s poem of the same name, i am water challenges misogynistic stereotypes of women as weak. The multimedia installation celebrates the soft power and influence of women in shaping the world, drawing inspiration from the slow, transformative force of nature.
